I've had this little winter snowflake bear dancing around in my mind asking to be created since before Christmas, and this month I finally got around to giving him form. It took me a while to find the right fabric and threads to match my vision and eventually I opted for a pure silk dupion in Kingfisher Blue and DMC metallic threads in silver and gold for embroidering the snowflakes. I then spent many happy lock-down hours in my secluded sewing room - affectionately known as "the creation station" - playing about with mother of pearl buttons, beads and ribbons, gradually bringing him into existence! He'll be all button jointed including the head and small enough to sit in my hand, my tiniest teddy ever!
I'm planning to write and publish a pattern for him when he's finished, so if he looks like one you might like to add to your collection, keep an eye open and I'll update you with the progress.
