Matching Rag Dolls For Charlotte & Maisie
This is my daughter Charlotte and her little dog Maisie. Charlotte loved the Sarah rag doll that I'd made her...... but so did Maisie! In fact Maisie loved the rag doll so much that it became a problem keeping it out of her reach. It wasn't long before Charlotte asked me to design a dog safe version so Maisie could have her own baby. I decided to use the same Sarah Rag Doll pattern, but make it from soft fleece and embroider the face rather than use buttons. I replaced the wool hair with fleece strips which are securely tied...
Cindy's RAF Memory Bear.
Good morning all....I hope you had a lovely Bank Holiday weekend and made the most of the good weather! Today I have this lovely red and navy teddy to show you, made by Cindy from the Harley Teddy Pattern, who you might remember also made the pretty JOY Memory Bear shown earlier in the year. This teddy has been made in memory of her step dad who passed away back in 1999 using two of his vintage jackets....(one of which was purchased in 1956 and still had the receipt in the pocket!) Cindy told me that the poignant finishing touch...
Margaret's 1st Date Memory Bears....
Today I'd like to start off the long weekend with this gorgeous bear family made by Margaret for a couple who kept the clothes they wore on their first date together. She used the Harley Bear Pattern for the two larger bears and with the fabric remnants she used the Teddy Eddy Bear Pattern to make a smaller bear for their new baby on the way :) A cute teddy bear family! Thank you for sharing the images and the story Margaret xxx https://goo.gl/hCiqiM, https://goo.gl/wxBtm4
Shelly's Wedding Themed Teddy Bears.
With the wedding season now in full swing, I thought you'd be interested to see Shelly's Bride & Groom teddies made from the Harley Bear Pattern. I love the little pearl necklace and the 'handmade with love' wooden buttons. She told me that they're made for a friends wedding in Boston in the USA. I think they'll be thrilled to receive them! Thanks for sharing the photos Shelly xxYou can find the teddy pattern here... https://goo.gl/zJ60EH
Carolyn's Pretty Pink Bear.
How lush and original is this cerise & black bear made by Carolyn with her typical fine attention to the smallest detail. I just love the little net tutu and matching neck bow, together with the broderie anglaise detail on the arms and legs. The sequin embroidery on her chest is the crowning glory of this beautifully styled teddy... A dream bear for any little (or big) girl! Thanks for sharing Carolyn and keep em coming! ;) xx https://goo.gl/Aqq5XY
