Crafty News — Silk painting

I'm so EXCITED to share this little secret with you... I was recently approached by STITCH Magazine and agreed to design a project for their Fantasy/Fairytale Issue available now for 2 months in WH Smiths! (Page 33) I only had 2 weeks to complete it and I'm so pleased that I managed to create on demand and to a tight time frame. Well.... I've been sewing off piste again, but I do have a good excuse! This silk painting embroidery was designed and made this month for my brother who is celebrating a milestone birthday and early retirement by adopting a rare breed Manchester Terrier puppy. I've not tried thread painting before and this little design is rather cobbled together but I'm really keen to keep trying and hopefully improve my skills and technique.
